2 oz New Riff Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
.5 oz Demerara simple syrup
4 dashes Orange bitters

Add all ingredients to a mixing glass filled with ice and stir to combine. Set aside. Add a small pile of smoking chips of your choice to your smoking board (pro tip: a little goes a long way). Using the hand torch, light the chips until they retain a flame and then cover with the smoking jar. Allow the flame to go out and fill the jar with smoke. Working quickly, strain the cocktail into the smoking jar and screw the lid on tightly. Swirl the jarred cocktail to allow the smoke to blend with the drink. Add a large ice cube to a rocks glass and pour the smoked cocktail over ice. Garnish with your torched orange peel and a luxardo cherry. Enjoy!

*For even more smoke flavor, repeat the smoking steps to capture the smoke and gently pour over your prepared cocktail.

* Demerara Simple:
2 cups Demerara sugar
2 cups of boiling water

Mix the sugar and water, stir to combine. Once cooled, store in the fridge for up to 1 month.
